Biography
Cyril Nri is a Nigerian-born English actor. Born on 25 April 1961 in Nigeria, he moved to Portugal at the age of seven and later to London. He trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and began his career with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Nri played Graham, a barrister, in the BBC series This Life (1996–1997). He is best known for his role as Superintendent Adam Okaro in the ITV police drama The Bill. His other television credits include appearances in Law & Order: UK, Death in Paradise and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (2023), while film roles encompass Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019), Roald Dahl's The Witches (2020) and Wicked Little Letters (2024). He received a BAFTA nomination for his work in the series Cucumber.
