Biography
Dan Butler is an American actor. He was born on 2 December 1954 in Huntington, Indiana.
Butler is best known for playing Bob 'Bulldog' Briscoe on the television series Frasier (1993–2004). He also directed one episode of the series. His other television credits include the role of Jim Ausbury in The X-Files (1995). Film roles include Roden in The Silence of the Lambs (1991) and appearances in Enemy of the State (1998) and Crazy, Stupid, Love. (2011).
Butler trained at Indiana University and has worked extensively in theatre. He wrote and starred in the Off-Broadway play The Only Thing Worse You Could Have Told Me....
