Biography
Dan Dietz is an American writer and producer for television. He began his career as a playwright, earning an MFA in playwriting from the University of Texas at Austin. His stage work includes plays such as tempOdyssey and Tilt Angel, and he has received awards including the Heideman Award and a James A. Michener Fellowship.
Dietz has written episodes of Person of Interest (2013–2015), where he also served as story editor, Westworld (2016–2018), The Act (2019), Dead to Me (2020) and Invasion (2023–2025). He has held producing roles on several of these series and received Primetime Emmy nominations.
