Biography
Stephen Semel is a film and television editor, producer and occasional director. He edited 42 episodes of the series Lost (2004–2010) and directed two episodes, 'Ji Yeon' (2008) and 'The Last Recruit' (2010). He also appeared in a cameo role as Adam in the season three premiere.
Semel has edited feature films including Airheads (1994), The Count of Monte Cristo (2002), The Way of the Gun (2000) and One Eight Seven (1997). His other television editing credits include episodes of House (2009), Westworld (2016–2020) and Tales from the Crypt (1989–1992). He won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series for the Lost series finale in 2010, after several nominations for the series.
