Biography

Dan Moore is a costume designer and supervisor active in film and television since the early 1980s. He began as a costumer on titles including The Long Riders (1980) and 48 Hrs. (1982), progressing to supervisor and designer roles on numerous productions.

Moore maintained a long collaboration with director Walter Hill, contributing to Extreme Prejudice (1987), Red Heat (1988), Another 48 Hrs. (1990), Trespass (1992), Geronimo: An American Legend (1993) and Wild Bill (1995). Other design credits include Johnny Handsome (1989) and Necessary Roughness (1991). Supervisor work encompasses The Hunger Games (2012), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) and Green Book (2018).

He won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Costume Design for a Series for the television series The Magnificent Seven (1998).
