Biography
Dave Metzger is an American composer, arranger and orchestrator. He is credited as composer on the Disney films Wish (2023) and Mufasa: The Lion King (2024). He has worked extensively for Walt Disney Animation Studios as an orchestrator and arranger on films including Frozen (2013), Moana (2016) and Wreck-It Ralph (2012).
Metzger grew up in Corvallis, Oregon, and holds a Bachelor of Music degree from California State University, Long Beach, with graduate work at UCLA. He received a Tony Award nomination in 1998 for his orchestrations for the Broadway musical The Lion King. He has also composed scores for direct-to-video releases such as Tarzan 2 (2005) and Brother Bear 2 (2006).
