Biography
David A. Geddes is a Canadian cinematographer. Born in 1949 in Vancouver, British Columbia, he studied at the Banff School of Fine Arts, the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and Simon Fraser University. He began his career shooting documentaries and independent short films before moving into television in the late 1980s.
Geddes has worked on series including 21 Jump Street (1988–1990), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–1991), Fringe (2011–2013) and DC's Legends of Tomorrow (2016–2022). His feature credits include The Messengers (2007) and Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010). He is a member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers and the American Society of Cinematographers. His son Shane Geddes is also a cinematographer.
