Biography
David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (also credited as David Leslie Johnson) is an American screenwriter and producer of film and television. He graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington, Ohio, and earned a BFA in photography and cinema from Ohio State University.
He began his career as a production assistant on The Shawshank Redemption (1994) and later worked as an assistant to director Frank Darabont. Johnson-McGoldrick has written screenplays for Orphan (2009), Wrath of the Titans (2012), The Conjuring 2 (2016), Aquaman (2018), The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023). He contributed to the story and screenplay for The Conjuring: Last Rites (2025) and has written episodes of the television series The Walking Dead.
