Biography
Debra Mooney is an American actress. She was born Debra Vick on 28 August 1947 in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and grew up in Ellendale, North Dakota. She trained at the University of Minnesota and began her career on stage with the Circle Repertory Company.
Mooney is best known for playing Edna Harper in the television series Everwood (2002–2006). She has had recurring roles in Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and The Originals. Her film credits include Tootsie (1982), Dead Poets Society (1989) and Domestic Disturbance (2001). She voiced an actress in the animated film Anastasia (1997).
She was married to stage producer and director Porter Van Zandt until his death in 2012; their daughter Kirstin Mooney works in the art department on feature films.
