Biography
Deirdre Lovejoy is an American actress. She was born on 30 June 1962 in Abilene, Texas. She graduated with a BFA from the University of Evansville and an MFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Lovejoy is best known for portraying Assistant State’s Attorney Rhonda Pearlman across all five seasons of the HBO series The Wire (2002–2008). She has also appeared in recurring roles as serial killer Heather Taffet on Bones (2009–2011) and as White House Counsel Cynthia Panabaker on The Blacklist (2013–2023). Her film credits include The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), Step Up (2006), Bad Teacher (2011) and The Post (2017).
Earlier in her career she worked extensively in theatre, including Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, and received a Helen Hayes Award nomination for her performance in How I Learned to Drive.
