Biography

Denise Pizzini is an American production designer and set decorator. She began her career as an interior designer in San Antonio, Texas, before moving to Los Angeles and working in set decoration on films including The Italian Job (2003), Thirteen Days (2000), Life as a House (2001) and A Walk in the Clouds (1995).

She later moved into production design, with credits including Like Water for Chocolate (1992), Chef (2014), Community (2009–2015) and the final season of Better Call Saul (2022). More recent work includes The Muppets Mayhem (2023) and Pluribus (2025).

Pizzini has received an Art Directors Guild Excellence in Production Design Award and an Ariel Award for Like Water for Chocolate. She won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Production Design for Pluribus (2026) and for The Muppet Show (2026).
