Biography
Dinah Collin is a British costume designer. She studied illustration at Cambridge School of Art in the late 1950s, then worked in theatre as a set painter and in wardrobe departments before joining the BBC as a costume designer in the late 1960s.
She is best known for designing the costumes for the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award. Other notable film credits include The Bourne Supremacy (2004), United 93 (2006), The Ghost Writer (2010), My Cousin Rachel (2017) and The Duke (2020). She has frequently collaborated with director Paul Greengrass.
Collin received a BAFTA TV Award for her work on Portrait of a Marriage (1990) and a BAFTA Cymru Award for Gwen (2018). She has also received nominations including a BIFA for My Cousin Rachel.
