Biography
Eagle Egilsson, born Egill Örn Egilsson on 31 August 1966 in Reykjavík, Iceland, is a television director and cinematographer. He studied filmmaking at Columbia College Hollywood in Los Angeles.
As a cinematographer, he worked on The Wire and CSI: Miami, where he was also a co-producer, as well as Dark Blue. He has directed episodes of numerous series, including Fringe (2008), Nikita, Gotham, Lucifer, Arrow, The Blacklist, Hawaii Five-0 and S.W.A.T..
Egilsson won an American Society of Cinematographers Outstanding Achievement Award in the television category in 2010 for the Dark Blue episode 'Venice Kings', which he also directed. Later that year he became the first Icelander admitted to the ASC.
