Biography
Earl Cameron was a Bermudian actor who became one of the first black performers to star in British cinema. Born Earlston Jewitt Cameron on 8 August 1917 in Pembroke Parish, Bermuda, he moved to London during the Second World War and made his screen debut in Pool of London (1951).
He appeared in numerous films and television productions, including Thunderball (1965) as Pinder, The Message (1976) as An-Najashi, Doctor Who (1966) as Williams, The Prisoner (1967) as the Supervisor, The Queen (2006) as the Portrait Artist, and Inception (2010) as the Elderly Bald Man. Cameron played Zuwanie in The Interpreter (2005). He received a CBE in 2009 and died on 3 July 2020 in Warwickshire, England.
