Biography
Ebonie Smith is an American actress, also credited as Ebonie Michelle Smith and Negra Candalaria-Smith. Born on 16 September 1978 in Puerto Rico, she began acting as a child and is best known for playing Carrie Murtaugh in the four Lethal Weapon films (1987, 1989, 1992 and 1998).
Smith appeared as Jessica Jefferson in four episodes of the sitcom The Jeffersons (1984–1985). She had recurring roles on Webster and Family Matters, played M'Lila in an episode of Xena: Warrior Princess (1997), and portrayed a young La Toya Jackson in the miniseries The Jacksons: An American Dream (1992). Later credits include appearances in Roswell (1999) and Tadpole (2002). She has also worked as a composer.
