Biography

Edward Kłosiński (also credited as Edward Klosinski) was a Polish cinematographer. Born in Warsaw in 1943, he graduated from the National Film School in Łódź in 1967. He began working in the industry as a stills photographer and assistant before becoming a cinematographer on feature films.

He collaborated extensively with directors including Andrzej Wajda on Man of Marble (1977) and Man of Iron (1981), Krzysztof Zanussi, and Krzysztof Kieślowski on Decalogue (1989) and Three Colors: White (1994), for which he also served as a scenario collaborator. Other credits include Europa (1991) and Gloomy Sunday (1999). He was married to actress Krystyna Janda.

Kłosiński died in Milanówek in 2008.
