Biography
Eimer Ní Mhaoldomhnaigh is an Irish costume designer. She is from Limerick and graduated from the Limerick School of Art and Design, having studied fashion before entering film in the early 1990s. Her first credited role was as a costume trainee on the film The Secret of Roan Inish.
Much of her work has been on Irish and British-Irish productions. She has designed costumes for The Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006), Becoming Jane (2007), Brideshead Revisited (2008), The Guard (2011), Calvary (2014), Love & Friendship (2016), The Rhythm Section (2020), The Banshees of Inisherin (2022), and the television series The Fall (2016). She is also the costume designer on Wild Horse Nine (2026).
Ní Mhaoldomhnaigh has received eleven nominations for Best Costume Design from the Irish Film & Television Academy, winning for The Rhythm Section. She has also been nominated for Emmy, Critics' Choice and Satellite Awards, and was elected to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2020.
