Biography
Ellen Foley is an American actress and singer. Born on 5 June 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri, she attended Webster University and studied acting at HB Studio in New York City.
She has appeared in films including Hair (1979), Tootsie (1982) as Jacqui, Fatal Attraction (1987) as Hildy, Cocktail (1988) as Eleanor and Married to the Mob (1988) as Theresa. On television she played Billie Young in the second season of Night Court (1984–85). Her stage work includes Broadway productions of the revival of Hair, Me and My Girl and a replacement role as the Witch in Into the Woods (1989).
Foley is also known for her singing, notably the duet "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" with Meat Loaf on the 1977 album Bat Out of Hell, and she has released several solo albums.
