Biography
Elpidia Carrillo is a Mexican actress born on 16 August 1961 in Parácuaro, Michoacán. She has worked in film and television in both Latin America and the United States, with credits dating from the late 1970s.
She is known for her role as Anna Gonsalves in Predator (1987) and a reprise in Predator 2 (1990). Other notable film appearances include Salvador (1986), for which she received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Female Lead, Bread and Roses (2000), Nine Lives (2005), Seven Pounds (2008) and Blue Beetle (2023) as Rocío Reyes. She played a small role as Friend #2 in Solaris (2002).
Carrillo has also appeared in television series including Euphoria (2019) and Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities (2022). She has directed short films and is sometimes credited as Piya.
