Biography
Eric Jewett is an American director and assistant director. He worked for over three decades in film and television production, serving as second assistant director or first assistant director on numerous features including Return of the Jedi (1983), The Lost Boys (1987), National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989), Basic Instinct (1992), and 300: Rise of an Empire (2014).
As a director, Jewett helmed four episodes of the series Weeds (2010–2012) and four episodes of Party of Five (1997–1999). He has also directed the short film 180 Degrees (2021). After his Hollywood career, he joined the University of Colorado Denver as a film professor.
