Biography
Fala Chen is a Hong Kong actress. Born on 24 February 1982 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, with her family at the age of 14. She graduated from Emory University and later earned an MFA in Drama from the Juilliard School in 2018.
Chen began her career in Hong Kong after placing first runner-up in the Miss Chinese International Pageant 2005. She appeared in numerous TVB series and films, including Turning Point (2009) and Tales from the Dark 2 (2013). She gained wider recognition for roles in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) as Ying Li and The Undoing (2020).
Her subsequent credits include the series Irma Vep (2022) and the film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024), in which she played the Iwi Queen. She is also set to appear in Ballad of a Small Player (2025).
