Biography
Frank Austin (also credited as George Francis Austin or George Austin) was an American character actor who appeared in more than 120 films between 1917 and 1950, frequently in uncredited roles.
Born in Mound City, Missouri, he began his screen career in silent films and continued into the sound era, appearing in productions including Robin Hood (1922), The Laurel-Hardy Murder Case (1930), Bad Girl (1931), Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933), Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (1936), You Can't Take It with You (1938), Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), Hellzapoppin' (1941) and Batman (1943). He died in Los Angeles in 1954.
