Biography
Frank Whaley is an American actor, film director and screenwriter. Born on 20 July 1963 in Syracuse, New York, he graduated from Anthony A. Henninger High School in 1981 and from the University at Albany. He made his film debut in Ironweed (1987).
Whaley appeared as Archie Graham in Field of Dreams (1989) and as Timmy Burns in Born on the Fourth of July (1989). The latter began a collaboration with director Oliver Stone that included The Doors (1991), in which he played Robby Krieger. His other film roles include Brett in Pulp Fiction (1994) and Guy in Swimming with Sharks (1994). He has also directed films including Joe the King (1999) and Like Sunday, Like Rain (2014).
