Biography
Fredrik Wenzel is a Swedish cinematographer, director, editor and screenwriter. He served as director of photography on Ruben Östlund's Force Majeure (2014), The Square (2017) and Triangle of Sadness (2022).
Wenzel has also worked as director of photography on Luca Guadagnino's We Are Who We Are (2020) and Julio Torres's Problemista (2024). He has directed, written and edited several films, including co-directing Burrowing (2009, also known as Man tänker sitt) with Henrik Hellström and contributing to Falkenberg Farewell (2006).
He has received the Guldbagge Award for Best Cinematography for Force Majeure and The Square, as well as the Sven Nykvist Cinematography Award.
