Biography
Garrett Lerner is an American television writer and producer. He frequently collaborates with writing partner Russel Friend. His career began with the CBS series Martial Law, after which he wrote and produced episodes of FreakyLinks, Roswell, John Doe, Boston Public, LAX and Smallville.
In 2005, Lerner and Friend joined the writing staff of House, contributing multiple episodes including the season two premiere "Acceptance". Lerner became an executive producer from the fourth season onwards. He co-wrote the Glee episode "Guilty Pleasures" with Friend. Lerner received a Writers Guild of America Award in 2010 for the House episode "Broken" and multiple Primetime Emmy nominations for his producing work on the series. His other credits include The Good Doctor, Altered Carbon, Repo Men and Kaleidoscope.
