Biography
Gary Graver (20 July 1938 – 16 November 2006) was an American cinematographer, director and editor. He began working in low-budget films in the late 1960s after service as a Navy cameraman and went on to shoot more than 300 films across genres.
Graver is best known for his long collaboration with Orson Welles, serving as director of photography on projects including F for Fake (1973), It's All True (1993) and the posthumously completed The Other Side of the Wind (2018). He also worked on Moby Dick (2000), a Welles short, and provided additional photography or second-unit work on films such as A Woman Under the Influence (1974) and Always (1989). Other credits include several Roger Corman productions and Ron Howard's directorial debut Grand Theft Auto (1977), as well as horror films such as The Toolbox Murders (1978).
Under the pseudonym Robert McCallum he directed and photographed numerous adult films.
