Biography
Gene Milford was an American film and television editor. He worked on about one hundred feature films, including Lost Horizon (1937), On the Waterfront (1954), Baby Doll (1956), A Face in the Crowd (1957), Splendor in the Grass (1961), The Chase (1966) and Wait Until Dark (1967).
Milford won Academy Awards for Best Film Editing for Lost Horizon (shared with Gene Havlick) and On the Waterfront. He received a further nomination for One Night of Love (1934). He was a member of the American Cinema Editors and, with Barbara McLean, received its inaugural Career Achievement Award in 1988.
