Biography

George Plimpton (1927–2003) was an American writer, journalist and occasional actor. He founded the literary magazine The Paris Review in 1953 and contributed to numerous publications.

Plimpton appeared in more than thirty films, often in small roles or as himself. His credits include an uncredited Bedouin in Lawrence of Arabia (1962), a psychologist in Good Will Hunting (1997) and a panel member in EDtv (1999). He appeared as himself in the documentary When We Were Kings (1996).
