Biography
Gerrit Graham was an American actor and songwriter. Born in New York City on 27 November 1949, he attended Columbia University, where he served as general manager of the Columbia Players and first worked with director Brian De Palma.
Graham made his screen debut in De Palma’s Greetings (1968) and appeared in the director’s subsequent films Hi, Mom! (1970), Phantom of the Paradise (1974) — as the glam-rock star Beef — and Home Movies (1979). His other film roles include appearances in Used Cars (1980), Pretty Baby (1978) and Child’s Play 2 (1990). On television he played Quinn in Star Trek: Voyager (1995) and the Hunter in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993), and voiced Franklin Sherman in the animated series The Critic. He also wrote songs with Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead. Graham died on 15 September 2026 in Rhinebeck, New York.
