Biography

Gib Jaffe is a film and television editor. A Los Angeles native, he studied political science and art at the University of California, Davis, before entering filmmaking. He began in documentaries and commercials, apprenticing under editor Carol Littleton, and later worked as an assistant editor on features such as French Postcards (1979) and Rocky III (1982).

Jaffe's editing credits include Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Ruthless People (1986), They Live (1988), Rapid Fire (1992) and Battlestar Galactica (2004). He produced and edited the documentary Wings of the Wind, which received four Emmy nominations. He joined the American Cinema Editors in 2007.
