Biography
Glen Mazzara is an American television writer and producer. Born in New York City on 6 July 1967, he graduated from New York University with a master's degree in English. He previously worked as a hospital administrator before moving to Los Angeles in 1998 to pursue a writing career.
He began writing for Nash Bridges (1998–2000) and joined The Shield (2002) as an executive story editor and writer. He rose through the ranks to executive producer on the series. Mazzara later served as showrunner on The Walking Dead (2010) and created Damien (2016). He has also written for The Rookie (2018) and received a Peabody Award for his work on The Shield.
