Biography
Goffredo Lombardo (15 May 1920 – 2 February 2005) was an Italian film producer. The son of producer Gustavo Lombardo and actress Leda Gys, he took over the family company Titanus following his father's death in 1951.
He produced Luchino Visconti's Rocco and His Brothers (1960) and The Leopard (1963), as well as other notable films including The Swindle (1955), Bread, Love and Dreams (1953) and Violent Summer (1959). Lombardo also produced Sodom and Gomorrah (1962) and later worked in television production.
He received several awards, including a Nastro d'Argento and the Golden Lion for career achievement at the Venice Film Festival in 1995. He founded the Titanus record label in the 1950s.
