Biography
Alain Delon was a French actor. He was born Alain Fabien Maurice Marcel Delon on 8 November 1935 in Sceaux, France, and died on 18 August 2024.
Delon appeared as Rocco Parondi in Rocco and His Brothers (1960), Piero in L'Eclisse (1962), Tancredi Falconeri in The Leopard (1963) and Jef Costello in Le Samouraï (1967). He also worked with directors including Luchino Visconti, Michelangelo Antonioni and Jean-Pierre Melville.
He won the César Award for Best Actor for his performance in Notre histoire (1984). He received an honorary Golden Bear at the 45th Berlin International Film Festival and an honorary Palme d'Or at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
