Biography

Gordon Anderson is a British television director. He began his career in theatre, training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and directing productions for companies including the Royal National Theatre, the Royal Court and Scottish Opera. He served as Artistic Director of ATC from 2001 to 2007.

Anderson trained as a television director with the BBC and first directed for the medium on The Catherine Tate Show, for which he also wrote. He has directed episodes of Shameless (2004), The Inbetweeners (2008), Fresh Meat (2011), Lovesick (2014), Endeavour (2013), Silent Witness (1996) and The Mallorca Files (2019). He has received BAFTA nominations for his work.
