Biography

Graham 'Grace' Walker is an Australian production designer. Born in Sydney in 1941, he began working in film and television in the 1960s as a property assistant on the series Skippy the Bush Kangaroo. His early credits include props and set dressing on Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975) and assistant art direction on Caddie (1976); he took his first production design credit on Summerfield (1977).

Walker is known for his work on Australian films including Mad Max 2 (1981, for which he won an AFI Award), Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) and Crocodile Dundee (1986, in which he also acted). Later credits include Pitch Black (2000), Ghost Ship (2002), House of Wax (2005) and Ninja Assassin (2009). On television he served as production designer for The Walking Dead (2012–2017) and Doom Patrol (2019–2023). His wife, Kristen Walker, has worked as a set decorator on several of his projects.
