Biography
Halina Dobrowolska was a Polish production designer and art director. Born on 18 August 1929 in Kraków, she died on 23 April 2016 in Gliwice. She worked extensively in Polish cinema and television from the 1950s onwards.
She is best known for her collaborations with director Krzysztof Kieślowski. Dobrowolska served as production designer on A Short Film About Love (1988), A Short Film About Killing (1988), several episodes of the Decalogue series (1989), and Three Colors: White (1994). She also contributed to The Double Life of Véronique (1991) and later films such as Life as a Fatal Sexually Transmitted Disease (2000).
