Biography

Harry Duffin is a British screenwriter and novelist. He wrote two episodes of the BBC soap opera EastEnders in 1985, as well as episodes of Boon (1988) and The Bill (1993–1994). He also contributed to Emmerdale Farm and The District Nurse.

Between 1991 and 1993 he wrote seventeen episodes of the ITV soap Coronation Street and received the Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award for Best Television Serial for his work on the series. From 1989 to 1990 he served as script editor on twenty-six episodes of Howards' Way.

Duffin co-created the New Zealand teen drama series The Tribe (1999–2003), which ran for 260 episodes, and later worked as Head of Development at Cloud 9 Screen Entertainment. He has since written novels, including Chicago May and novelisations connected to The Tribe.
