Biography
Harry Hitner is a film editor. He began his career in the late 1980s as an assistant editor on titles including A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988), Without a Clue (1988) and The Rocketeer (1991), later serving as associate editor on White Fang (1991). He progressed to editing live-action features such as Honey, I Blew Up the Kid (1992) and Look Who's Talking Now! (1993).
From the mid-2000s Hitner worked extensively on animated features, editing Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006), Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), Rio (2011), Rio 2 (2014) and Ferdinand (2017). He also contributed additional story reel editing to Robots (2005). According to career records, he was employed as a freelance editor from 1987 to 2004, at Blue Sky Studios from 2004 until its closure in 2021, and subsequently at Animal Logic.
