Biography
Haydn Gwynne was an English actress. She was born on 21 March 1957 in Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex, and died on 20 October 2023 in London.
She first came to prominence playing Alex Pates in the Channel 4 comedy series Drop the Dead Donkey (1990–1991), for which she received a BAFTA TV Award nomination. Her other television roles included appearances in Peak Practice (1999–2000), Merseybeat (2001–2002), The Windsors (2016–2023) as Camilla, and The Crown (2016) as Lady Susan Hussey.
On stage, Gwynne was nominated for Olivier Awards for several musicals and won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical for the Broadway production of Billy Elliot the Musical (2009). She had earlier roles in Nice Work (1989) and worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
