Biography
Heather Craney is an English actress. She was born in Stapleford, Cambridgeshire, and trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama, graduating in 1995.
She has appeared in three Mike Leigh films: Topsy-Turvy (1999), All or Nothing (2002) and Vera Drake (2004), playing Joyce and receiving a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. On television she has played Alison Weaver in the sitcom Life of Riley, Emily Holroyd in Torchwood, Cheryl Matthews in EastEnders and DCI Alice Prior in Line of Duty.
Her other film credits include Child 44 (2015), The Duke (2021), We Live in Time (2024) and Blitz (2024).
