Biography

Howard G. Kazanjian is an American film producer. Born on 26 July 1942 in Los Angeles County, California, he graduated from the University of Southern California, where he met George Lucas.

Kazanjian served as vice president of production at Lucasfilm from 1977 to 1984. He worked as an uncredited producer on The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and as producer on Return of the Jedi (1983). He was also executive producer on Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). Earlier in his career he worked as an assistant director on films including The Wild Bunch (1969) and Family Plot (1976).

His later producing credits include More American Graffiti (1979), The Rookie (1990) and Demolition Man (1993). He has also written books on film and history.
