Biography
Hugues Espinasse is a French cinematographer and camera operator, also credited as Hughes Espinasse. He began his career in the late 1990s in the camera department, working as a clapper loader on Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001) and The Bourne Identity (2002), and as an assistant camera on The Ninth Gate (1999).
Espinasse progressed to roles including first assistant camera on Inception (2010) and camera operator on Dunkirk (2017), RED 2 (2013) and The 15:17 to Paris (2018). He has served as director of photography on Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018) and second unit director of photography on The Nun II (2023), as well as on several shorts, music videos and television series including Riviera.
