Biography
Ian Barritt is a British actor. He was born in 1944 in Burnley, Lancashire, England.
His television credits include Life on Mars (2006) as Stanley Cooper, Doctor Who (2008) as Professor Peach, Foyle's War (2003) as the Vicar, Midsomer Murders (2006) as Finch, Wolf Hall (2015) as the Latin-Speaking Bishop, The Diplomat (2023) as the Priest and The Musketeers (2014) as Lavoie. He has also appeared in Only Fools and Horses (1981), The Thin Blue Line (1996) and Trying (2020).
On stage, Barritt has performed in productions of Shakespeare's Richard II and Coriolanus. He is Vice President of the trade union Equity.
