Biography

Isabella Hofmann is an American actress. Born in Chicago, she trained at Columbia College Chicago and performed with the Second City comedy troupe before beginning her screen career in the mid-1980s.

She is known for recurring roles as Kate McCarron in the sitcom Dear John (1988–1992), Lt Megan Russert in Homicide: Life on the Street (1994–1997), Dr Renee Dunseith in Providence (2001–2002) and Meredith Cavanaugh in JAG (2002–2004). Later credits include the recurring role of Clarissa Stein across The Flash (2014), Supergirl (2015) and DC's Legends of Tomorrow (2016).

Hofmann has made numerous guest appearances, including as Regan Tam in Firefly (2002), Carolyn Baker in Criminal Minds, Evelyn Wallace and Kate Reynolds in NCIS, and Miss Genovia Hildegard in the film The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004).
