Biography
J. E. Freeman (born James E. Freeman) was an American actor. He was born on 2 February 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, and died on 9 August 2014 in San Francisco, California. He trained at Shelton Studios and began appearing in films in the early 1980s.
Freeman played Eddie Dane in Miller's Crossing (1990) and Marcelles Santos in Wild at Heart (1990). His other film roles include parts in Ruthless People (1986), Patriot Games (1992), Copycat (1995), Alien Resurrection (1997) and Go (1999). He also appeared in television series such as MacGyver and ER. He was openly gay and in 2009 published a letter recalling his experiences of the 1969 Stonewall riots.
