Biography
Jai Courtney is an Australian actor. He trained at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and began his career with small roles in Australian film and television, including a recurring part as Varro in the series Spartacus: Blood and Sand (2010).
He gained wider recognition for his role as Charlie in Jack Reacher (2012) and as Jack McClane in A Good Day to Die Hard (2013). Courtney is known for playing Eric Coulter in the Divergent films (2014–2015), Kyle Reese in Terminator Genisys (2015), and Captain Boomerang in Suicide Squad (2016) and The Suicide Squad (2021). Other credits include Unbroken (2014), The Exception (2016) and Australian productions such as Felony (2014) and The Water Diviner (2014). He has also appeared on stage, including as Macbeth for the Melbourne Theatre Company in 2017.
