Biography
James Frain is an English actor. He was born in Leeds and studied drama and film at the University of East Anglia before training at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London.
His screen career began with a role in Shadowlands (1993). He is known for playing Thomas Cromwell in the series The Tudors (2007–2009) and for appearances in films including TRON: Legacy (2010), Water for Elephants (2011) and The Lone Ranger (2013) as Barret. Television credits include roles in Grey's Anatomy, The Mentalist, True Detective, Gotham and Grimm.
