Biography
James Van Der Beek was an American actor. He was born on 8 March 1977 in Cheshire, Connecticut, and died on 11 February 2026.
He was best known for portraying Dawson Leery in the television series Dawson's Creek (1998–2003). Van Der Beek appeared as Matt Bromley in the first season of the FX series Pose (2018). His other credits include Scary Movie (2000), The Rules of Attraction (2002) and episodes of How I Met Your Mother and Criminal Minds.
