Biography
James Yoshimura is an American television writer and producer. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, and studied at the Yale School of Drama before beginning his career in theatre.
Yoshimura worked on Homicide: Life on the Street (1993–1999) as a writer and later producer, contributing numerous episodes including the Peabody Award-winning 'Subway'. He co-wrote the 2000 television film Homicide: The Movie and co-created the 2004 series The Jury. He later wrote for Treme (2010) and Homeland (2011), serving as consulting producer on both.
Yoshimura received two Primetime Emmy nominations for his writing on Homicide: Life on the Street and Homicide: The Movie.
