Biography
Janine Sherman Barrois is an American television writer, producer and showrunner. She began her career after completing the Warner Bros. Writing Program and wrote episodes of The Jamie Foxx Show. She later worked as a writer on Third Watch and served as a co-producer on The PJs.
She joined ER as a co-executive producer in its twelfth season and wrote multiple episodes, including "Darfur" and "Breach of Trust". She received Image Award nominations for her writing on the series. Barrois subsequently worked as an executive producer and writer on Criminal Minds for five seasons.
Barrois created and executive produced The Kings of Napa and served as showrunner on Claws. She wrote the teleplay for the limited series Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker. She runs Folding Chair Productions under an overall deal with Warner Bros. Television.
